I am a trauma surgeon born-and-raised in Texas, and I’m also a first time mom to Ava born July 2017. I can be all bark and no bite sometimes, and I often have a lot to get off my back just to keep going. I also know I’m not the only one that feels that way. I’m here to share my experiences, the products, and the advice (both good and bad) that I’ve gotten along the way. This mom thing has definitely been trial by error, and to be honest, the surgeon thing can be too. Real life happens, every day. I’m not here to sugarcoat life as a surgeon mom. Some days it sucks. Some days its awesome. I’m here to offer up both the good and the bad experiences, products, advice, etc that I’ve received along the way. Basically, I’m sharing the self-help section of my life–but I’m not expert. One thing I do know: we are all enough–as a woman, a friend, a wife, a mom, a doctor. No matter what other blogs, parenting sites, or “Dr. Google” has to say, we are enough.
