Interesting blog. I work in patient care ( radiology ) and I am beyond burnt out and I am currently working on a second career after spending 12 years in radiology. I actually never thought it was my coworkers who made the toxic environment … but everything else had from the managers giving ridiculous work schedules , lack of breaks , staying late all the time , working weekends and holidays etc having to deal with a million different personalities every day from coworkers , patients , managers , drs and nurses on the floors and the expectations that radiology techs can get the enormous amount of patients done in extremely little time was and still is beyond draining. I have severe burnout and changing jobs didn’t help. I will probably be working in radiology for another year or two as I make a transition into something else ….but I just wanted to say I love your blog !!

Thanks so much! I hope you find your way through the burnout. I know it’s hard—every last aspect. Just know that you are not alone!
